A higher ranking on such sites a Google means it’s easier for your customers and market to find your products. Of course, this information is by no means a complete list of SEO tools, but they are tasks that most website owners can do before taking the plunge and hire someone else to do it

Keywords

When adding keywords, why not ask yourself what words you would use if you were searching for this kind of website or information yourself. Thinking like a customer instead of advertiser means wearing a a different hat, however on some level we’re all consumers, so it’s not a difficult process. Make notes of the keywords you come up with and you on your way to expanding your website’s optimization! There are all kinds of combinations with which to use keywords, so have a thesaurus or dictionary on hand to help out with your list.

Content
Include the keywords you’ve just developed into a search term that best describe you and your products. Small phrases that are in the written content on your website will jump out or even seem obvious after they’re written, and though you don’t want to sound like a broken record, include those search terms that are relevant, linking them to the context of your information.

Keep in mind, original content is king and your blog / website will rank higher on the search engines with regular postings and updates.

Links
The amazing thing is, people will find you! Your site will rank higher still once other bloggers start to link to your site and share your information. Even better, if you are able to leave relevant and well meaning comments on other people’s websites that compliment yours, (starting locally is good), as well as reciprocating links with others, then do so. People will find you this way, too!

Social Media
This really is a topic that deserves it’s own post. Suffice to say, social media works hand in hand with your website to extend your seo reach. It is the perfect platform for driving people to your online site or your brick and mortar store. If you’re not already participating in this realm, it’s definitely something you should consider. It will really bring not only awareness to your brand, but it will bring visits from your target market, helping your business find an online following, customer base and consumer loyalty.

Creating An Online Business Presence in a Digital Age – #Smallbiz #Marketing & #SocialMedia

Find Your Niche - Online

Find Your Niche – Online

For many small-business owners, entering the digital arena to create an online presence for engaging those potential clients can be a daunting process to say the least. The continual rise of the web and it’s reach has made the world a much smaller place. Almost everyone who is already connected online is also out ther seeking a piece of the proverbial pie.

In order to create an online presence and build that brand, one has to learn the best ways to get one’s message out. Social media, mobile apps, Q.R. codes, and a user friendly website are the places to start maximizing one’s message. But what if you’re not already tapped in to the internet? For some, it may be easy enough to start these platforms, but many owners of small businesses may not have the time or the skills to stay ahead of the competition, or even keep up with them. There lies the challenge: How to take the momentum that is built in the beginning and convert it into buying power.

An online presence should be taken seriously. Online marketing is not a skill that not everyone has. Connecting with potential customers in cyberspace takes a solid strategy and an action plan. Determining a niche and a target market is the key to crafting a plan of action.

Once that strategy has been determined, it’s best to determine just what resources one has, how to share them in the best possible light, and then determine what one’s goals are, ie: Just what it is that the business wants to accomplish through it’s use of social media.

The best place to start is with an online presence. A user friendly website is the place anyone can visit twenty-four hours a day, so any information added must include a well thought out message. That next step is to engage other through social media. In essence, social media compliments a website by engaging with others and ultimately driving customers to your website, and perhaps even that brick and mortar location. This is why a great strategy is important. Integration of all of these steps work seamlessly together. A comprehensive digital media strategy will typically include all of these components.

#Tips To Succeed on #Twitter – Success With #SocialMedia

Twitter

The first thing I tell anyone new to social media is that they should share. The best items to share are usually from your competition. This advice might sound a little strange or even backwards to some people, but sharing good information will bring those followers who are looking for specific news from a variety of sources. Retweeting other people’s information, when it falls in line with what you’re offering, along with your own creative and original content, means you’ll be the one to follow because of the great variety you offer.

Hashtags ( # ) are another great tool to take advantage of on Twitter. Use them to categorize any information you’re sharing on your Twitter timeline. For instance if you’re posting about your garden, it might look something like this:
” Today my #sunflowers were #blooming after the rain. I had to take many #photographs to share!”

Anyone searching for a specific flower like sunflowers will find your post. Anyone searching for what’s blooming out there will find you, too! They’ll also know you have a photograph to offer. That’s 3 niches covered, which brings in a broader amount of hits and then followers. Try not to use more than 3 hastags or you might seem a just a little desperate for attention and that can be a turn off for some people.

So, you can see that hashtags make those keywords searchable. Anyone out there in cyber-space can find your information when searching. Hashtags can be used on Facebook posts and Pinterest, too. When you use them on other popular social networks and then share them on Twitter, you’re on your way in social media!
